Elizabeth Ann Bartholomew |
|
Elizabeth Ann Bartholomew tells us that she was born 11 December 1836. She worked her sampler on 23 count Bristol board or punched paper. This petite sampler has plenty of charm. There is a distinctive double-handle fruit basket, a sweet flower wreath, with several geometric shapes, including a red and green lozenge. There is also a fence post entwined with a red berry vine.

Emily Trump 1872 Sampler ~ FRD |
|
This is a stunning sampler stitched by an
Australian 13 year old girl from 1872...it is very
rare to have a sampler stitched by a person that
was born, lived and died in Australia.
