Shorttakes

Happy Monday....I know, it's kind of an oxymoron, but we're having fun!  Molly just got home from seeing her mom & we are neck-deep in placing orders!!  ALSO, trying to figure out what exactly I have not "newslettered" yet!  So this newsletter is my attempt to circle the wagons & show you those goodies.  Then our NEXT newsletter will be the return of "TSS Favorites".

Cherry Hill Stitchery designs have been a favorite of ours for several years, but they disappeared for a bit.  We have been delighted to have them back & with each new release we get even happier!  We are working on getting some of her older designs back in as well, so be on the lookout.

 

       

Freshly Picked - Such a sweet design! I also love the finishing on this...Therese just did one similar to it & now I want a bunch like it!

Market Bouquet -  This is the kind of bouquet I'd like to have!  Also, keep in mind that if you're not necessarily a "red rose" kind of stitcher, there are only 2 shades of overdyed colors for the flowers, so you could switch to 2 shades of pink or coral or yellow...

Flower Market - Another beauty, but the style says it doesn't take itself too seriously!

 

This UK designer has certainly caught our eye (& stitching fingers) with her fun designs.  We've stitched several of her Christmas designs for the shop & they are very popular!  We can't wait to get the strawberry one here!! 

      

Holly Cottage - Not only do I wanna move into this sweet cottage, but I want a sweater with all these pretty bands knitted into it. Until then, I'll make do with stitching this.

S is for Strawberries - Or, the Strawberry Sampler!  A fun sampler for summertime (or year 'round here at TSS), I love all the different tasty strawberry treats ~ especially that drink at the bottom (margarita, I presume?).

 

The designs from Deborah are always detailed & amazing!  I love looking thru them to find different motifs that are hidden within.  Whether you stitch one of her monochromatic designs, her Quaker creations or one of the other fun ones, you will enjoy the ride!

 

    

Dragon's Blood - What a totally awesome piece ~ you can get lost in all the different motifs in this one.

    

Contentment - I love all the different bands in this one...they're each pretty on their own. I also love the verse ~ kind of a "samplery" version of the Rolling Stones "can't always get what ya want..."!!

Stitch By Stitch - This was originally designed as a stitchalong, but is now available all together!  What a great stitcher's verse!

 

Kathy at Dinky Dyes always brings fun new scissors to Market.  And you know as a stitcher you can never have too many pairs of scissors (although my nephew Jimmy will disagree with that ~ he was HORRIFIED to find 7 pairs of scissors stuck in the side of my stitching chair when he helped us move. "SEVEN PAIRS, ANTIE!!  SEVEN!!!").

We are so happy that our friends at Gentle Art are getting back up to speed!  None of us are where we want to be yet, as far as stocking our inventory, but we are moving & that is great!  We love these 2 new colors ~ not too many to overwhelm, but enough to get us excited!

   

Habanero  -  Ohio Sky

 

We have had the first few charts from Simone & they were lovely!  We're so excited to continue to add her newest creations.  One of the things I love about her leaflets is that she often does additional little smalls from the larger piece she has charted.  And this newest one is no exception.  There are a few others that we'll be adding as well, but this is the lovely new Nashville release!

   

Ivlie Godefroid - This gorgeous reproduction sampler has so many traditional sampler motifs ~ a ship, flowerpots, a deer (or stag, I guess), churches... ~ And I personally love that it has so many shades of blue!  Also, check out the smalls that she designed using some of the motifs & bands!!  I love the creativity ~ it reminds me of what Karen at Rosewood Manor does as well!

 

We love the designs from Crisanne ~ her artistic ability is so amazing & it is awesome to be able to "re-create" her artwork! This new little series is called "Tangled Tidings" & will feature a holiday garland winding around the birdie & its surroundings.  All designs in this new series will be the same size, so that one frame can be purchased and the design can be swapped out for the season.  Each chart will include a "small" intended to be an ornament!  Yay!

   

Happy Halloween - So many great things in this design ~ I love the crow of course, but also that jack o' lantern & all the leaves!  That cutie Jack makes another appearance in the small design too!

Merry Christmas - Okay, my favorite part of this is the wreath of holly leaves!  I like that they are each a little different ~ whether in color or texture.  I also like tha small white blossom ornament.

 

This light company is new to us but we are very excited about several of their items!  Check 'em out!

   

Task Lamp - This is no ordinary light!  It is battery operated, rechargeable with a USB cord & plug, it has a 12" gooseneck for adjusting to the perfect spot, a wireless charging station for your cell phone, a USB port for charging other devices & 3 different light settings!  Lightweight & portable, so you can take it wherever you want!

 

Task Lamp with Magnifier - Same great features as the light above, but with an added magnifier!!  The magnifier is a 3X (most are just 2X) & is 6" x 4".  Also, it comes with an extra base so the magnifier can be used independently of the light (or you can attach it as seen here).

 

      

Clip-On Lights - How cool do these look??  They can clip on to your glasses or a hat & focus the light directly where you want it.  They're small & lightweight so you can carry them anywhere! 

 

   

Craft Light with Magnifier & clamp - This bright light will clamp on to your Q-Snap or scroll rod & focus the light right where you want it!  It also comes with a small round magnifier to make those teeny tiny stitches easier to see!

Misty's design aesthetic has a wonderful feel to it ~ a little whimsical, a little traditional & a lot of happy!

 

   

Gathering Stitches - This is the latest in her "Gathering" series & we love it!  We actually really like this whole series ~ each time she releases a new one, we get more enamoured with the whole thing!! 

 

       

Enchanted Quaker - FUN FUN FUN!!! I love so many fun things in this design ~ the pumpkin quaker motif, the ghosties, that haunted house is awesome....I just really thing this is FUN!

Hop Peep Leap - 3 sweet little springtime friends!

So excited to see the newest releases from here ~ she just released the final 10 states in her State Splendor series so those will be arriving along with new goodies from the show!

  

Endeavor to Improve - I like this ~ it doesn't say BE THE BEST, it says improve!  Something we can all strive for.

 

      

For the Bowl Series: St Paddy's Shanty - this is such a fun series of smalls for different holidays & we love this one!

 

Red Haven 1 - A reproduction sampler in a very prim style!

 

     

Red Haven #2: NH & SH - An antique reproduction of a Dutch Schoolgirl sampler.  How fun!

Red Haven #3: M Weis - An antique reproduction of a German Schoolgirl sampler.  Love the bands!

Martha Masialers Sampler - A Spanish red sampler ~ a lovely reproduction!

Isabella Lee 1845 - This is a sweet little sampler!

    

   

My Little Sampler - I really like this small sampler.

Beloved - How gorgeous is this sampler??

 

These designs are charming and fun ~ they bring a smile to your face!

 

   

Spring Alphabet Sampler - This is such a sweet design ~ all the best parts of springtime!

Dirty Dishes - This just cracks me up!!  I think we can all relate to this...

 

 

Another wonderful new designer with some gorgeous samplers ~ we each had our favorites here!

 

   

Ann Richrdson - Molly loves this one ~ the stylized flowers are lovely!

Sarah Ann Beecham - I'm not sure exactly what the animal is here, but it certainly looks lika child's drawing.  I love that it was reproduced in needlework.

 

   

Dorothy Leedes - This design is a Market exclusive & won't be available until later in the spring.  I love the bands in this one.  I also love monochromatic samplers.

Mary Ann Hutchins - This is a fave!  I think I'll do mine in blue.

 

   

Charlotte Webster - Can you imagine stitching this at just 7 years old??

Elizabeth Newman - A more traditional sampler with lots of color!

 

 

Okay!  This newsletter pulled together the last of the new goodies.  That is not to say that I've shown you EVERYTHING that was released. There are still some things that we know are coming but we haven't seen the info on it yet ~ I'm not gonna post things until I have the details nailed down!  But don't worry ~ I'll keep posting new goodies, no matter when the info comes in.

I know it definitely wasn't as enjoyable a Market experience for us, and probably not as crazy reading about it for y'all, but I hope I managed to cover all the great new stuff headed our way regardless!
