Are you ready for some FOOTBALL??
We sure are here! Once again, we are BEYOND excited that this year's Super Bowl features our
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES!!
also the Kansas City Chiefs will be playing.
Just kidding, we're excited to be playing the Chiefs. As opposed to 5 years ago, we realize that we are not necessarily the team that 99% of America is cheering on. But that's okay! In fact, here in Philly a lot of Eagles fans have become Chiefs fans over the years, as their head coach was the head coach here for many years. And he was (& remains) well-loved. That is, until February 12. Then, all bets are OFF & we know our team will be 1000% committed to kicking their butts!
Having said all that, some of y'all may be wondering, "what's the deal with Super Bowl Sunday?".
Well I'm glad you asked!! As much fun as Super Bowl Sunday always is, it's so much more fun when our team is playing! So many of y'all were with us 5 years ago when the Eagles BEAT the Patriots & what a great day we had at the shop! So we are eager for a repeat all the way around. And if you know much about us, you might be aware that we take our "good luck charms" & "superstitions" seriously, so now it's up to you! We're gonna play it the same as last time!
On Sunday February 12th, join us at the shop beginning at 11 AM. The final whistle will be at 2 PM. That gives us plenty of time to stock up on goodies & then get home & ready for the game.
Everything is 20% off (excluding any already discounted items).
HOWEVER! Here's the Eagles twist! When you come in, WEAR YOUR EAGLES GREEN! Now, not all of us have actual Eagles gear (& again, because we're superstitious, we're not gonna change that NOW), but everyone has SOMETHING in Eagles green in their closet. So wear your sportswear or just wear Eagles green & you'll get an extra 5% off (yes, that means 25% off your entire purchase).
Please note: while we're all still fond of Andy Reid & we don't harbor the same ill will towards the Chiefs that we did for those New Englanders several years ago, WE ARE FIRMLY EAGLES FANS. So anyone wearing Chiefs attire or red & gold will be penalized! So make your choices appropriately (& leave that nonsense at home!).
Next! For those of y'all joining us virtually, no you don't have to send us a picture of your outfit! BUT, you do have to do a little work to get that extra 5%. Just like last time, you'll need to give us the first 3 words of the Eagles fight song. You've seen it here before & even if you haven't paid much attention, you can certainly find it online easily! For all you KC fans out there (lookin' at you, Sunflower girls!), it'll be a tough choice...do you REALLY want that 5% enough??? We'll make it easy ~ we won't tell anyone!!
A few other items of note. We are ecstatic to see that we have several shipments headed our way ~ mainly fabrics & fibers (ugh, not that we've been NEEDING them...nooooo....). Having said that, we cannot say for certain that they will all arrive before Sunday the 12th. Just know that within the next week or 2 we expect to have fully restocked a TON of stuff! Remember, if something is out of stock or sold out before you get to it, as long as you order it & pay for it on Sunday you will still get your Super discount.
I also know that throughout the last year, things have been entirely too slow coming in. Please know that we have taken steps to get things caught up & so that this does not happen going forward. I deeply regret all the challenges of the past year ~ some were beyond our control, but some I take responsibility for. I have come to the realization that I spent a good deal of time trying to "hold down the fort" while also waiting for Lise to get better & get back, as well as the many personal challenges I dealt with. In retrospect, I did a lousy job & I have already changed quite a few things to get out of my own way & get the shop back to the fun & USEFUL place we like it to be. So thanks for hanging in there with us & we are truly excited to shift gears & move forward!
I'll have a "regular" (aka, full of new goodies) newsletter soon, but I wanted to get all the info for Super Bowl out there so everyone can make their plans!
