Shorttakes

 

It's May (well, it soon will be...)!  And we're celebrating!  Think of it as a miniature countdown (because we're still waiting for it to DEFINITELY be Spring!).  So maybe this mini countdown will assure us that Spring will come & stay a while (at least until it's time for SUMMAH!!).

 

So, from Sunday, April 29th thru Tuesday, May 1st anything "springtime" is 20% off.  There have been some lovely new spring designs, in addition to so of our all time faves.  And remember, don't limit yourself to just designs ~ there are lots of springtime fabrics & fibers & even scissors! 

What, exactly, qualifies as "SPRING"?  Well, lots of things are obvious ~ for instance if something is called "Spring Delivery" or "Spring Grass" or "Spring Thyme" (that would be 1 design, a thread from Sampler Threads & a fabric from Lakeside Linens), they're definitely SPRING!  But also if there are flowers, birdies, ladybugs or, if it is filled with pastel color, it's probably SPRING.  If you are unsure, you can always try & "sell it" to me! 

Here's some guidelines:

Does it have: snow ~ NO NO NO; Christmas ~ no; deep rich autumn colors ~ nope; beach ~ no (sorry...really sorry); patriotic ~ no.

Does it have: tulips ~ yes; bunnies ~ absolutely (unless they're in snow); rainy days ~ ok; spring-y, pastel colors ~ yep; chicks & eggs ~ yes; bouquets of flowers ~ yep.

So now you have some idea how this works, I'm gonna highlight some of our faves!  But as always, wander around the website (or the shop on Tuesday!), and find your own springtime adventure!

Now remember, you're not limited to just designs!  Any fabrics that are springtime colors are definitely eligible!  And fibers!!!  Holy cow, there are so many overdyed fibers that are lovely springtime pastels!  And don't overlook scissors...and needle minders!

I hope Spring has arrived (or will VERY soon) where you are.  I got to spend a gorgeous spring morning pulling weeds out of my flowerbed ~ which means it must be spring!  It was a lovely warm day...and then it got COLD again!  Rumor has it that we'll be in the 80's next week though, so there is hope.  Speaking of hope ~ hope you found some spring-y treats to brighten any grey rainy day!  Remember, you have thru MAY DAY (aka, May 1st).
